About the course.

Algebra-based physics is brought to you by Chris Feenstra and is meticulously crafted to help you understand the incredible world of physics, which underpins all of the hard sciences. But don't be intimidated or discouraged - Chris knows how challenging the material can seem as he once struggled with it himself. Now, he's created a course that brings together a community of like-minded people, wrestling with the crazy math and concepts within physics.

What you will learn.

Kinematics: Understand the core concepts of how objects move, from throwing a ball to a friend to launching a rocket in space.

Energy: It's a word we use everyday, but what actually is it? How does work change energy? The math gets simpler, but the concepts are more abstract than most realize.

Rotation: Merry-Go-Rounds, spinning tops, and the moon's orbit are all deeply related. Similar to kinematics, but with a 'twist.'

Newton's Laws: The original, classical rules on how objects interact, forces arise, and motion starts, stops, and changes.

Who should take this course?

High School Students: Students enrolled in algebra-based physics at the high school level. This is a great supplemental course to either prime a subject before learning it in school, or to review with afterwards.

Homeschool Students: With lecture notes, videos, practice problems, and group meetings, you can also learn the subject entirely on its own.

Anyone Interested in Physics: We love all things science - you don't have to be in school to want to know more about the world.
